The Academic Year

The academic year at Eureka follows that of traditional schools but at the same time our policy is to accommodate the needs of the student and family.  A course begins when a student starts to study the material and it ends upon the completion of the required number of tested topics.  Although flexibility is the keynote, whenever possible students are encouraged to begin and end course work during semester blocks of time.

The entire year consists of 36 weeks divided into two semesters.  These semesters are further divided into two quarters of nine weeks.  The traditional holidays are recognized.  If a student needs extra time to complete a course, then an extension is usually given.
