Type of Student

Many types of students from a variety of backgrounds have attended Eureka School.  They fall into three categories:

  • Students who pursue an extracurricular activity, which demands much time and precludes consistently attending regular school hours.  Such activities include, for example, dance, riding, costume design, and surfing.

  • Students with learning differences like dyslexia, ADHD, and anxiety.

  • Individuals who are highly gifted, intensely academic, or desirous of investigating a particular topic more deeply than traditional or class oriented schools can accommodate.

At Eureka, all such students are allowed sufficient flexibility within an accountable structure so that their particular needs or interests may be attended.

Full-time and Part-time Students

Students at Eureka may elect to be full-time or part-time.

Full-time:  A student enrolled in four or more academic classes

Part-time:  A student enrolled in less than four classes
