The courses offered at Eureka School include both the required traditional core classes and any number of academic electives not usually found at high schools.
Placement
The level of difficulty facing the student is always matched to his or her learning needs. Flexibility allows for the incorporation of acceleration or review as circumstances may dictate.
Academic Electives
Academic electives are an important part of the curriculum at Eureka. These courses allow for the student to pursue individual interests. We encourage students to suggest subjects to create courses based on a mutual student-teacher interest. Examples of academic electives offered in the past include entomology and naval history. The purpose of these electives is ultimately to encourage academic curiosity.
